Send your first sentence from an historical mystery, suspense, or thriller. Your sentence should engage the reader immediately and draw us into the story. Also, you will be setting the tone for the story. More than likely you will introduce us to your main character but this is not required.
There will be three judges, so it is not just me who will be evaluating you sentence.
Cut-off for submissions is midnight May 15.
